On Saturday, January 31st, in 8 pm, a guest performance will be performed on the NPM's Main Stage "Mother dog", directed by Tarik Filipović.
Dogs guide the blind, save the wounded, find the lost, provide comfort and bring joy. They can do all of this – and much more. What they cannot do is tell their own stories, and they deserve to be told by someone else. This task has been taken on by young actors Domagoj Nižić and Faris Pinjo, known to the wider audience for their numerous theatre and film roles. With the careful “training” (direction) of Tarik Filipović, Domagoj and Faris transform into a colorful array of dogs in order to portray the good and bad sides of a dog’s life and tell bittersweet stories about their relationship with humans.
Are dogs trapped by their breed characteristics or are they free to have whatever personality they want? Can a traumatized dog heal its emotional scars? What is the difference between a Collie and a German Shepherd? Is man a dog's best friend? Do dogs go to heaven or just to the shelter?
These are just some of the questions it answers. "Mother dog", and at the same time encourages you to ask yourself those questions that you must find the answers to yourself – if you dare! Regardless of whether you are a passionate dog lover or dogs mean nothing special to you in life, this play will certainly not leave you indifferent.
The script is written by a team of authors: Leon Zrile, Tarik Filipović, Faris Pinjo and Domagoj Nižić.
The ticket price for the ground floor is 20 KM, and for the VIP floor 25 KM.
