The play The Broken Jug – a story about the fight for justice and corruption in the judiciary

told in a comical way

The RS National Theatre from Banja Luka is a guest at this year's Mostar Spring with a performance
The Broken Jug, based on the comedy of the same name by German playwright Heinrich von Kleist, in
directed and adapted by Tatjana Mandić Rigonat. The play will be performed in the Great Hall of the Croatian National Theatre
Herceg Stjepan Kosača on Tuesday, June 10th, starting at 8 pm.
Starring Aleksandar Stojković, Ljubiša Savanović, Boris Šavija, Miljka Brđanin, Tara Jovanić, Vladimir
Đorđević... The scenography is by Dragana Purković Macan, the costume designer is Ivana Ristić, and the author is the author
music by Elio Rigonat. By the way, guests from Banja Luka traditionally perform in the theater program

This Kleist comedy, which has been performed on German stages for over 200 years, poses serious questions.
issues that are still relevant today. Concealment of facts, fight for justice, abuse of judicial office, and
sexual blackmail, are just some of the themes that Kleist vividly portrays on stage. The broken jug thus becomes the center of
places corruption and consequent disappointment in the judicial process. Through a meticulous dissection of society as well as
state authorities, Kleist, without faith in the possibility of rational knowledge, tragically speaks of the impossibility
recognition of truth. Taking the idea of "hands on hands" to the extreme, he places immorality in the very
the epicenter of the judiciary and slowly untangles the initially hilarious situations in front of us as witnesses
the arms of the corruption octopus that reach significantly further than one might imagine. Kleist's humor
