Guščar Matija

Guščar Matija, a play for which tickets are being requested more these days, will also be on the program of the Mostar Puppet Theatre this weekend, due to great interest from the audience.
The play will be performed in two parts: on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m..

Director's word:
When is the imagination at its best? Right before bedtime! When it's time to go to bed, every child, as if their dreams wouldn't bring them enough adventures, seeks a little more play... in the shadows, in a pillow, in a story! And so the story of Matija the Goose becomes a lullaby - which wakes up three children in the darkness of their bedroom and opens up a whole new world that emerges from the space around them! A fair, geese, forests and castles - all of this emerges before our eyes as we listen to the story of a boy Matija whose geese are stolen by a haughty master at the fair. And Matija's courage is punished with ten strokes of the cane! Ten strokes that the evil master will remember well, because Matija decides to teach him a lesson! The story of justice, courage and ingenuity is an eternal theme - which may not put us to sleep this time, but it will certainly brighten our day and entertain us!
