On the plateau in front of the Mostar Cultural Center, as part of the international cultural event "Mostar Summer 2025", an evening of remembrance dedicated to the unforgettable Oliver Dragojević - one of the greatest musical artists from this region - was organized. The program was marked by an emotional and sincere interpretation by Antonio Zadra.
The audience had the opportunity to once again step into the world of Oliver's timeless songs that have marked numerous generations. The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia, but also with deep gratitude for the indelible mark that Oliver left on the regional music scene. The visitors followed each performance with great interest and warmth, and many sang the songs together with Zadar.
"It is the seventh anniversary of the death of Oliver Dragojević – a great man and artist who left a huge mark. Throughout my career, I have often performed his songs, because he was a great role model for me. This is my first time performing in Mostar with this, so to speak, project to remember Oliver. The Mostar Cultural Center has recognized the importance of jointly remembering that time of life with Oliver, and I am truly honored to be the one who reminds me of that time. Also, this is my first participation in the 'Mostar Summer' and I am extremely pleased. I am a native of Mostar and I could not be more pleased," Zadro pointed out.
This musical evening once again confirmed how much Oliver's songs are still alive – in people's hearts, in collective memory, and in every note that filled the Mostar sky tonight.
The next event within the "Mostar Summer 2025" is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, when the performance Guardians of Sevdah will be held at the Yunus Emre Institute Mostar, starting at 8:30 PM.
