"The Call of the Wild" by Kristina Kegljen is a thoughtful and enjoyable comedy with female characters and a friend at the center of the plot that questions the strength and fragility of femininity. Ivan decides to throw a divorce party, or rather a camping trip in the forest where he and his friends will find their true selves. Anita is a princess who is getting divorced, Marina is obsessed with social media, Željka had an affair with her friend's husband, and Ivan is focused on Zen, mindfulness and new age paradigms. After a long time, friends meet and what was supposed to be a party slowly becomes an opening of old and new adventures – the forest, with its wildness and mysticism, forces them to turn inward, and despite the superficial layer of carelessness and indifference, they discover their original strength, femininity and freedom. The dramaturgical thread that builds comedy and playfulness on the surface, in the subtext hides the structure of warm human stories with which we can all identify.
The cast consists of: Jelena Kordić Kuret, Mirela Kordić, Nikolina Marić and Ivan Skoko.
