PLM: Goldilocks

On Wednesday, June 4, at 7 p.m., on the Big Stage of the Puppet Theater in Mostar, the ensemble of this theater company will play "Goldilocks", based on the famous fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm, and directed and dramatized by the director and actress from Serbia, Jelena Đorđević.

This show, very dear to children and awarded at several puppet festivals, performed by celebrated Mostar puppeteers, offers an unusual, colorful and playful story about Zlatokosa, a beautiful girl with long golden hair. She is imprisoned in a dark forest, in a high tower with no door and only one window. She was imprisoned in that tower by the evil and dangerous witch Baba Gothel, and only the brave Prince Clodovik can save her from her. He rides on his faithful horse called Lightning. Despite the many difficulties and troubles they have to overcome, Goldilocks and Prince Clodovik defeat the wicked Baba Gotel, and on the faithful horse Lightning, they go to the castle of the prince's parents, the King and Queen. There is great joy in the castle, and Goldilocks and Prince Clovis get married at the end of the fairy tale. This is how unconditional love, loyalty and unhappiness with evil fate triumph.

Hristina Nedeva Mladenović designed the scenography, puppets and costumes, and professor Srđan Marković composed the stage music. The puppets were made in the most famous Bulgarian puppet workshops, and the scenography and props in the workshops of the Puppet Theater in Mostar. The play stars Lejla Pajić, Diana Ondelj Maksumić, Ali Kamer Aksoy and Serđo Radoš.
