The Mostar Puppet Theatre has traditionally participated in the Mostar Spring program –
Matica Hrvatska Days.
This year, the audience will have the opportunity to see the play Janko and the Magic Beans.
The play will be performed in two sessions, on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 6:00 PM and Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

Director's word:
Janko and the Beanstalk is one of the most popular fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm. It tells us about a lazy and
to the naive boy Janko. Who, using a magic bean, sets off on an adventure and wants to become fast,
brave and strong. With beautiful dolls and a comical character, it teaches us self-sacrifice and independence.
The performance is rich in various puppetry elements that, with their animation and play,
they stimulate creativity and imagination in the audience.
The play stars: Marta Haubrich, Ivan Nevjestić, Ružica Bošković and Tibor Oreč.
The play is adapted for children aged 5 and up.
