A fairy tale about the theater

Comedy "A Fairy Tale About the Theater" by Vladimir Đurđević, directed by Ferid Karajica, will be performed on the Great Stage of the National Theater in Mostar on Friday, January 16, 2026, starting at 8 p.m.

"A Fairy Tale About the Theater" is a satirical comedy that humorously points out the reality of contemporary society, with a special emphasis on the neglected position of culture and theater. Through characters and dialogues that reflect the absurd attitudes of the political elite, the play shows how art is suppressed, manipulated and used as a means of propaganda. The play reminds us of the bitter reality, criticizing the passivity of the people and the authoritarian attitude of the government towards freedom of thought.

The set and costume design are by Sabina Trnka.

The cast consists of: Saša Oručević, Emir Sejfić, Amela Kreso, Jasmin Krpo, Dragana Matrak Bukvić, Diana Ondelj Maksumić (kg) and Dino Kerić (kg).

The ticket price is 10 KM, with a discount for pupils, students and pensioners - 5 KM.

Tickets are on sale at the box office of the National Theatre Mostar on Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm and on the day of the performance from 10 am to 2 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm.
