As part of the Bosnian and Herzegovina tour, the chamber choir "Ilmatar" (The Hague, Netherlands), which
led by conductor Imre Ploeg, will also perform in Mostar, at the Pavarotti Music Center.
It is a choir that encourages intercultural dialogue and collaborates with many, internationally
recognized artists from Europe and the Middle East. The choir's program is based on musical heritage
Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider Balkan region, and represents a kind of musical journey to
where different musical traditions meet.
The central place in the program is occupied by traditional Sevdaline women from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in addition
their repertoire will include rhythmic, lively and spiritual choral music from Northern
Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia, including Byzantine choral singing and songs from
Ottoman, Sephardic and Orthodox traditions.
Chamber Choir "Ilmatar" will perform at the Pavarotti Music Center on Friday, February 20, 2026.
year, starting at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the concert is free!
