UP and DOWN

UP AND DOWN is a documentary performance created as a result of several months of work with young performers with Down syndrome.

This is the voice of a generation that is changing its position in society. They have been on stage since they were young, and through the theater they learned about themselves and the world around them. In this play, they talk about their maturation, courage, independence, rights that belong to them, barriers and challenges they face in society.

They are independent, but their future is not only in their hands, but also in ours.

Do we have answers to the questions: What does it mean to us to be different? How do we treat each other? Do we really know what Down syndrome is? Have we experienced judgment? If we were superheroes, what would we change in society?

About the masterclass

A masterclass will be held after the performance. "Culture belongs to everyone - experiences and practices of inclusive work", which will open a space for discussion about the challenges and possibilities of including people with disabilities in the cultural activities of the community.

This meeting will present the practices of our Association, as well as the experiences of working on inclusive art projects.

The masterclass will take place from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and will lead it Alena Džebo and Ermin Bravo.
