THE PERFORMANCE IMAGINARY LADYBUG WINS THE "MAGIC OF PUPPETRY" AWARD

The Mostar Puppet Theatre Ensemble participated in the 26th and 27th from March 31st to April 3rd, 2026.
The International Festival of Professional Puppet Theaters for Children "Lut Fest 2026" in
East Sarajevo.
A total of 16 puppet shows were performed at this unique biennial edition of the festival.
the play, which was seen by about 3,000 children in the packed halls of the National Theatre
East Sarajevo, East Novo Sarajevo Cultural Center and Pala Cultural and Sports Center,
as well as on Sokolac, Rogatica and Foča.
The festival featured theaters from Montenegro, Serbia, Russia, Bulgaria and of course Bosnia and
Herzegovina. The Mostar Puppet Theatre stood out with the play The Imaginary Ladybug
author Milena Jukić Bandić and director and playwright Siniša Novković, winning as many as 3
awards.
The play The Imaginary Ladybug, which won the hearts of our loyal audience, has also won this time
the hearts of the expert jury.
The "Magic of Puppetry - Radoslav Lazić" award went to the play "The Imaginary Ladybug".
The conceited ladybug, as the jury stated, stands out for its extremely thoughtful and playful
puppetry expression in which the high artistic maturity of the ensemble is clearly recognized and
author team.
The award for original music went to Siniša Novković for the play Umiclena
ladybug. "The youngest audience followed the songs and cheerful rhythm with joy from beginning to end."

a harmonious and imaginative whole that brought sincere smiles and enthusiasm from the audience, he emphasized
expert judging panel.
We are especially proud of the animation award to Marta Haubrich for her masterful performance of the role.
Ladybugs.
The play The Imaginary Ladybug, professionally presented by the cast of Marta
Haubrich, Tibor Oreč, Ivan Nevjestić and Jadranka Popović-Miljko and Ružica Bošković is warm and
an educational story that talks about the complex issues of interpersonal relationships conveyed
into the world of animals. This cheerful performance, through the rhythm and variety of puppets on stage, brings an abundance of
songs, comedies, but also promotes acceptance of those who are different and celebrates the beauty of the heart and spirit.
After the Lut Fest, our ensemble also performed at the 5th JUHU Fest – a festival for
children and family who from 1. to 7.4. held at the City Theater Jazavac in Banja Luka.
At this festival we also presented the play The Imaginary Ladybug and delighted
a large audience.
After returning from this festival, the Mostar Puppet Theatre continues its work rhythm. This
The play The Wolf and the Goats will be performed on the regular program this week.
The play will be performed in two sessions, Friday, April 10th at 6 pm and Saturday, April 11th, 2026 at 11 am.
