The International Cultural Event "Mostar Summer 2025" was officially opened with an unforgettable concert by Mirza Selimović on the plateau behind the Mostar Gymnasium. The event was opened at the opening ceremony by the President of the City Council of the City of Mostar, Mr. Đani Rahimić.
"I would like to thank our cultural institutions that organize this event every year, which is very important both for Mostar and for the region. I wish you all a good time and that you enjoy the program of this year's 'Mostar Summer'", said Rahimić.
The Prime Minister of the Croatian National Theatre, Mrs. Marija Buhač, emphasized the importance of the event for the cultural and tourist offer of the city of Mostar and beyond, and expressed her satisfaction with the general sponsorship of this event.
"First of all, I would like to congratulate and thank our organizers who have prepared a rich program for the next 6 weeks and made it possible for us to enjoy the 'Mostar Summer' but also to present our artists as the entire cultural offer of the city of Mostar and beyond. As the President of the Government of the Croatian National Theatre, I am proud of the fact that the Government of the Croatian National Theatre has stood by this event for years, recognizing it as not only enriching the cultural content and lives of our citizens, but also as extremely important for expanding the tourist offer of the city of Mostar and the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. Therefore, I am happy that we are the general sponsor of this event this year," Buhač emphasized.
After the opening ceremony, a concert was held by one of the biggest musical stars of the region, Mirza Selimović. The audience enjoyed the great atmosphere of the concert filled with incredible energy and music that created an unforgettable experience.
"I am very honored and pleased that tonight's concert is part of the 'Mostar Summer' event, especially since I know that I am opening the event and it is somehow a unique experience for me. The energy and atmosphere were great, this has somehow become a habit for me, but as I give to the audience, they somehow give back to me,"
Selimović pointed out.
As part of this year's "Mostar Summer" event, more than 30 different cultural events will be held, and the organizers are the Mostar Cultural Center, the Mostar National Theater, the Herzegovina Museum Mostar, the Mostar National Library, the Mostar Puppet Theater and the Pavarotti Music Center.
The general sponsor of the event is the Government of the Croatian National Theatre, while the sponsors are the Croatian National Theatre Assembly, the City of Mostar, the Tourist Board of the City of Mostar, the Croatian National Theatre Tourist Board and the company BH Telecom.
