The play “Madness in…”

On Friday, "Madness in..." at the National Theater Mostar

On the small stage of NPM "Studio 64" on Friday, September 26, the play "Madness in ..." by the author
Eugene Ionesco, directed by Goran Damjanac, starting at 8 p.m.

"'Madness in ...' is a play in which we treat Ionesco's template as a starting point for a play that
deals with the community between a man and a woman. How much has the concept of community changed and how different is it
today? How much does geography play a role in this? Is community today really just a class issue?
How much patience is needed to simply laugh? Why do we always laugh at ourselves, and
we rarely change all these stereotypes? Ionesco and the theater of the absurd fit almost idyllically into
a situation in which communities suffer different types of pressure. We insist on man-individual, collective
Success almost doesn't exist anywhere except in sports, and that same man has never been lonelier. Laughing
we cannot be with ourselves, and if it does happen, it is rarely even at the level of chance. This play aims to
"reminds us what it's like to laugh. And afterwards, maybe change something," she wrote about the play
playwright Jelena Paligorić Sinkević.
