Hasanaginica

The play "Hasanaginica" by Mirza Begović, directed by Irfan Kasumović, will be performed on the Great Stage of the Mostar National Theater on Friday, October 31, starting at 8 p.m.

"For me, as the author of the dramatic text, it was more important to tell a story that we do not know, but can guess, than the one that we learned from the ballad itself and that leads us to the famous tragic ending. Respecting the content, style and epoch of the ballad Hasanaginica itself, this text, and ultimately the play itself, also represents a questioning of political, social, class and sociological reality based on examples that have been repeated for centuries in this region. This very often, including in the example of Hasanaginica itself, brings with it sacrifices and suffering, and the last victim, at least in our case, is love itself," wrote the author Mirza Begović.

The cast consists of: Adna Kaknjo, Irfan Kasumović, Faketa Salihbegović-Avdagić, Nusmir Muharemović, Emir Sejfić, Mirza Ćatibušić, Zerina Mujkić and Nermin Hodžić.

The play is a co-production project of the National Theatre Mostar, the National Theatre Tuzla and the Bosnian National Theatre Zenica, while the project leader and producer is the BKC "Alija Izetbegović" Kalesija.

Ticket price: 10 KM (with a discount for pupils, students and pensioners of 5 KM).
