Dragon and princesses

This week at the Mostar Puppet Theatre you can see multiple
the award-winning and children's favorite play The Dragon and the Princess.
The play will be performed in two parts, on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM and Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM. "The Dragon and the Princesses" is a story conceived and adapted by Kyriakos Argyropoulos based on Milada Mashatova, and directed by Kyriakos Argyropoulos and Stanislav Stanev from Bulgaria.

The puppets and set design were designed and made by Ani Lulieva, and the play was set to music by Igor Karlić from Rijeka. DIRECTOR'S WORD: This is a story about raising children. First and foremost, it is addressed to parents, educators, and children.

"It's a story about a princess and a dragon! First we made up the fairy tale, then we
the artist designed the puppets and the set, the composer created the music, and I started rehearsals with the actors. And just like in fairy tales, our theatrical fairy tale was designed in three days. But somehow… we didn't like Princess Sunčica (we made up that name for her). It's not that there aren't such princesses in the world, we just wanted her to be a little different.

I assure you that in the theater there is nothing better than replacing one Princess with another Princess, Princess Veselka. Then in the same fairy tale we replace her with another and again and again… After a month of work we were completely confused. We did not know which princess was better than the others. But since we work in the theater, and the theater is for you, dear young and old viewers, we present to you a fairy tale about one dragon and many princesses, and you decide.�

The play stars Ivan Nevjestić, Ružica Bošković and Marta Haubrich.
The show is suitable for children from 3 years old.
