As part of the international cultural event "Mostar Summer 2025" at the Mostar Cultural Center, the traditional collective exhibition "Small Format" of the Association of Fine Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held. The exhibition was officially opened by the Minister of Finance of the Croatian National Theatre, Mr. Adil Šuta.
"We are proud that the Government of the Croatian National Theatre is the general sponsor of the 'Mostar Summer' this year, that we are raising this event to a higher level and giving greater importance to art, culture, sports and all other segments that contribute to the quality of everyday life - especially in these hot Mostar days. Thanks to the diverse program that the 'Mostar Summer' offers to all generations, summer days in Mostar are becoming more meaningful, fulfilling and richer. Tonight, all these dear artists are presenting their valuable works and I can say that we will continue this continuity in the coming period," said Šuta.
Visitors had the opportunity to see the works of members of the Association of Fine Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina – established artists and long-standing creators – who thoughtfully, playfully, seriously and imaginatively manage to display the uniqueness of their artistic expressions within the 30×30 cm format, giving observers the freedom to dream.
"This exhibition premiered in Sarajevo in December last year, then continued its journey to Visoko, traditionally visited Nevesinje and is now with us here in Mostar. By the end of the year, it will visit several more cities, confirming the vitality and mobility of art that knows no boundaries of space, language or audience. A total of 47 artists are participating in the exhibition, and the selection of works reflects the diversity of artistic expressions and poetics that, despite the small format, open up to large themes and precise authorial handwriting. 'Small format', together with the 'Annalea of Drawings - Grand Prix Mostar', is slowly but surely being included in the permanent map of the most significant artistic events in our city. It is becoming a tradition - but not in the sense of repetition, but in the sense of presence, liveliness and openness to the new", emphasized the Secretary General of the Association of Fine Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Denis Jeina.
The following events as part of the "Mostar summer" manifestation are scheduled for Thursday, July 10, namely: the photo exhibition "Through the lens of Vejsil Ćurčić" which will be held at the Museum of Herzegovina Mostar - the memorial house of Svetozar Ćorović starting at 8 p.m., and the promotion of the book "Bridge on the Drina" by Andrej Nikolaidis, which will be held at the National Library Mostar starting at 9 p.m.
