The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar, in cooperation with the Mostar Photo Club, has concluded the competition for the best postcard of the city of Mostar. The invitation to participate was addressed to all photography lovers and creative people, and the topic included the most beautiful moments and landscapes of our city - from the Old Bridge, the Old Town and natural beauties to the everyday life and cultural heritage of Mostar.<\/p>

An expert committee consisting of Alica Jakirovi\u0107 (artist), Marin Margeta (Photo Club Mostar) and Katarina Marijanovi\u0107 (Tourist Board of the City of Mostar) evaluated the submitted works and selected the three best photographs that will be printed as postcards.<\/p>

First place was won by Sead \u0160a\u0161ivarevi\u0107 for his photograph Golden Bridge \u2013 an impressive landscape composition of the Old Bridge that brings the perfect blend of architectural magnificence and natural silence.<\/p>

The artist skillfully captures the moment of twilight when the sky turns into warm, muted tones, descending over the calm surface of the river. The reflection of the bridge on the water further emphasizes the harmony between human creativity and the natural environment. The illuminated Old Bridge, a symbol of connection and permanence, rises gracefully above the river, while the soft evening light envelops the scene in an almost meditative atmosphere. The photograph exudes elegance and serenity, inviting the viewer to contemplation and inner peace, the expert committee stated.<\/p>

Second place went to Ivan Kelava for the photograph Mostar morning, a work in which form, light and atmosphere merge into an almost meditative whole.<\/p>

The bridge rises above the river as a silent vertical of stability, a counterpoint to the fluidity of the water and the gentle mist that envelops the scene. The artist uses a soft palette of morning tones to create a sense of calm and introspective silence. The photograph does not seek drama, but rather subtlety, conveying universal emotions \u2013 melancholy, peace and nostalgia.<\/p>

Third place was won by Emira Tipura for her photograph of Emin, in which she carefully shapes not only the frame but also the spirit of time, space and poetry.<\/p>

In the foreground, a girl \u2013 a modern-day Emina \u2013 stands in the semi-shadow beneath the monumental arch of the Old Bridge. The shot is not just a documentary depiction of a tourist scene, but a visual interpretation of one of the most famous poems in Bosnian and Herzegovinian literature, combining literature, history, tradition and contemporary aesthetics.<\/p>

The authors emphasized that this recognition is a great honor for them because it leaves their mark in the document of time.
\u0160a\u0161ivarevi\u0107 emphasized:<\/p>

I am very honored that one of my photographs will be a postcard of the City of Mostar. This is the result of my immense love for the city and the effort invested in each photograph.<\/p>

Kelava added:<\/p>

I'm surprised by the recognition, especially when I see who all participated. The hardest part for me was choosing a motif \u2013 the Old Bridge is the most recognizable, but also the most photographed sight, so the challenge is to create something original and striking.<\/p>

Tipura concluded:<\/p>

This success is a great motivation for me to continue capturing the moments that tell the story of our city.<\/p>

The winners were awarded cash prizes: first place \u2013 1,000 KM, second \u2013 600 KM, third \u2013 400 KM. The Tourist Board of the City of Mostar will print postcards with the awarded photographs, which will become a new souvenir and attraction for visitors. This competition is part of a series of initiatives by the Tourist Board to promote the beauty of the city and encourage creativity among photography enthusiasts.<\/p>
